MINE ! MINE ! MINE !

Still can't get the tone right because a still camera is always going to have a light source highlighted somewhere on the carved maple top.
This is the best I've managed to date but the black's still too black and the red's and oranges are still too light.

Do yer worst!

While I normally very much frown upon guitarists and luthiers who deface fine instruments, in this case it's not like it's a nice original pre-CBS Fender or anything.... Mr. Green

LOL
Don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that!

Was looking at nice two-tone Tele' last weekend.
*sigh*
One day I'll have enough room for all these, as well as my dreams.

edit: Just noticed the restricted bridge/PUps! Smile

A nice touch.

I've been struggling for weeks to get the actual appearance right.
This afternoon I've spent four hours (now I've got a digital camera and don't have to pay for the film....) playing around with lighting and camera positioning and finally ended up with something close to how the finish really looks.
Used the case to cut out some of the light that was bouncing around and it seems to have worked.

Now I just have to learn how to play it!.
Wink

There's also this, my 1990 Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst (subtle flame finish by the Gibson Custom Shop).
Taken me twenty years to get this photo as all previous attempts have just made it look like an ordinary sunburst.
