Post subject: September 11th Sunday flight

I'm sure this time there will be less problems in our approach to destination, as the flight plan has been assembled by Fled, with plenty of nav-aids and a correct orientation to landing runway... but I thought to make things a bit complicated anyway, so we'll take off in the dark Mr. Green

The route chosen by our ATC promises to be very interesting, as we're going to leave Colorado, to pass across Wyoming (anybody still looking for gold there?), to end our travel at Idaho Falls: a lot of natural beauties to take pics of... hey, I'm talking about the landscape! Razz

Cool I like it! I grew up in the area that we are flying over. Great choices. In fact I was born in Rock Springs Wyoming. Razz Laughing

Ah, this sounds like a happy circumstance, Wingnut - this is a further proof our ATC has a sixth sense for driving us where we want to go Wink

P.S.: Fled, I forgot to thank you for providing the flight plan. Honestly, with the lack of time I'm suffering lately, I don't know if I could have managed to set it in time Smile

In fact, we will be flying over Jackson Wyoming, and the area around the Grand Teton mountains and the southern end of Yellowstone Park. In fact that southern end of the park is where the geyser called Old Faithful is located. Great fishing area too.

I sure hope I can connect to this one, it looks like it'll be tons of fun. And by the way, if there's extra time, do you guys think we could do a missing man formation or something over the airport (being Sept 11 and all)?

Hi Xcaliber !

I think it's a great idea doing a missing man formation on this particular day,
the Connie lends itself well for a formation flight to perform this we'll need to discuss when we would like to do it,
best option is doeing a circuit before we all land at KIDA.

Nice flight: I almost managed to land successfully when a light pole across the taxiway broke my dreams... and my wing Mr. Green
