Post subject: April 2nd Bush Pilots Challenge Practice

BPC_000
I've put this first challenge together so we can test our setups and get the kinks out- it's for practice only. Use the Duenna and post your validations on this thread so that we can be sure everything's working. These points won't be counted. This practice challenge will run until April 18th, and if we're ready, we'll start counting points on April 19th with BPC_001.

We'll use our online time to work out any kinks - regular time Smile .

Our central hub will be CFA4 Carcross and all of the other destinations are at frozen lakes. Make sure your lakes and rivers are frozen (see the thread in the sticky section for instructions).

Legs 1 - 3
Manifest

1 Passenger (147 lbs)
67 lbs Groceries
22 lbs Parcels

CFA4 Carcross - GB83 Gun Lake; 1 Passenger (147 lbs), 67 lbs Groceries; 86 points
GB83 Gun Lake - GB27 Kelsall Lake; 22 lbs Parcels; 67 points

CFA4 Carcross - GB71 Takiyok Lake; 2 Passengers (301 lbs), 48 lbs Groceries; 105 points
GB71 Takiyok Lake - GB47 Simpson Lake; 1 Passenger (162 lbs), 57 lbs Groceries; 57 points

127 lbs Groceries

CFA4 Carcross - GB84 Arana Pond; 2 Passengers (506 lbs), 127 lbs Groceries; 74 points

Have fun, and see you online,
-Bob-

Hi Bob,

thanks for preparing all this. I tried to follow all the instructions and flew the first leg of the BPC_000. I attached the jpg- file from the validation software and hope that I did everything right... Confused

PS: The forum does not allow a txt-file to be added as an attachment.

Cheers

Looks good, Gunter! It said PAGY instead of GB83 for the destination, but the lat / long are good! That'd be 86 points (if we were counting yet Wink )

Good, I'm looking forward to starting the challenge Laughing

That the destination was logged as PAGY seems a bit strange to me. Maybe it helps if a flightplan is created....

Hi Bob, I tried one of the legs where lazyeight had problems with. It worked fine with me. But the landing airport is again not recorded correctly!

See you

Hmm. Email the text validation to me, okay? I want to have a look at it. I'll also fly that leg myself and see if it does that to me as well.

BTW, this is why we're testing Wink

Exactly, tests are always necessary. E-Mail is on the way...

I need to learn to read better. Just reread your post and saw to zip these files and attach in the practice thread.

So here goes. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I used a back door approach to complete CFA4 to GB84 and avoided the area where my computer would lock up every time. This time both trips validated but they do not show GB84. I think I was on the right lake. It was on a mountain top and had some structures located there. It was a tough place to find and land. So it had better be correct. I added the photos and txt files to this.

Looks good, gentlemen Smile . Buddy, I like how you zipped all of those validations in one file - made it much easier to check it. Gunter, if you could do that as well, that'd be wonderful.

BTW, thanks for the kind words, guys. This quack (doctor) I'm gonna see is a new one, so I'm hopeful for relief of some kind. Mr. Green
