M60A3 Port Arthur, TX Veterans Park
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I was passing by this park and decided to check out the S/N and take some pics. The serial number was on the Engine deck: 2092A. This is shown in the guide to be at Port Neches, Texas VFW post. My camera could not some in close enough for a clear shot of the numbers but I could read them clearly. The number on the tow lug was unreadable and there was a park officer watching me from a distance. This park is on Hwy 87, about a mile from the Neches River Bridge.

You don't see too many OD green A3's. I wonder if it was painted locally? If not I wonder where it was used at?
