M47 Tank at Fort Riley, Kansas, USA
M47 Tank
S/N: 8694 (Stamped on top of both front tow lugs)
Location: Corner of McGlachlin Street and Normandy Drive, Ft. Riley, KS (2-1ID Brigade HQ)
This vehicle has the Italian rain gutters, but no data plates showing this. It has a bolted cover on the small idler mount and was painted tan at some point. The tank is in rough condition, with multiple broken torsion bars evident. The vehicle may have been originally displayed in Germany and moved to Ft. Riley in about 2006, or it may be a 'native'.
