Aberdeen Tiger I Discovery Channel footage (recent)
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Back in the late '80's, I recall seeing a 1:25th Tamiya model (have one myself) on display in a shop in OKC that had lettering on the side to the effect of:

"To President Franklin Delano Roosevelt from the such-and-such a unit, captured in Tunisia...etc. 1943." The presentation had a very authentic look about it like it was based on some documentary evidence. Anyone aware of such a captured war trophy appearance and the authenticity of this display?

I'll have to dig out "Tiger without a Home" to confirm but yea that sounds like the chalked message I remember seeing a picture of

the turret view is easy Sept. 1978, the other photo was taken in Germany by an airforce buddy late 1990's early 2000's

Thanks a lot, done.

the other photo was taken in Germany by an airforce buddy .. checked with him and is alright to use the photo

Let me know if you want to have his name added to the credit, it's not a problem, or if you have your own website and you want a link to it added.
