This thing is 0730 for moi, so I may have to intercept you guys along the way, or weave around a lot at the outset (well, more than usual, I mean....).

My wife will think I'm crazy, but then again, I know she won't get up for it, either.....

OK Dumb question - you want the flight to begin at 7:30 local (set FS9 time to 07:30 hours) but is that what time we gather (like, 10:30 AM for me on the east coast?) or is this still happening atthe "usual" time of what used to be about 1:00 or 1:30 PM EST?

Would like very much to make this one of course - fighting what apears to be a memory leak in FS9 (shuts down with low virtual memory after 30 minutes flight) and also need to arrange around other household and family activities for the day.....

Hi Stoopy,

We normally meetup some 30 to 15 minutes before the flight starts, that is that we than can take off on the set time, that also means that irrespectivly of your local time the flightsim time should be set to the TO time, mostle I set up a saved flight for it with some 15 minutes ahead of the planned TO time gives me some time to move around.

hope it helps

Dang!...just like high school....stood up again! Laughing

Either I didn't understand Stoopy's question..or the answer to it. ATC came on the server and advised me TO time was ~3 hours later. Good thing this is not scheduled service, or the passengers would be mighty surly about now....

And other relevant locations:

Wash. D.C. - 1:00 PM Local
San Diego CA - 10:00 AM Local
Canada: Umm, will vary I believe!

Sorry if my question wasn't understandable - what I meant to ask was "The Sunday flights usually start at 1:00 PM my time- do you mean that this week we start earlier, or do you mean we start at the usual time as always and just change set clock to 7:30 in the simulator". It's the latter - so everyone has the same time of day in the virtual world regardless of their global position.

PLanning to see you then.....and thanks!

We start at 1pm or 13:00 CST US Stoopy and usually meet up on TS 1/2 hour early to get ready for take off and to answer any questions about the flight or flight model...

Thanks Bush!

If my math is right then that makes corrections for the time zones I put above - 2:00 PM EST Wash DC area, 11:00 AM PST San Dieger arear, while Canadian times will vary according to local provincial laws I expect.

Hey there used to be that GMT converter-thingy on the front news page here - did I miss it?

OK well, I can connect to Netwings server and also to another TS server, but can't reach either the FSHost or TS server for the Com-C flight at the IP address given - thanks for the PM, bush. Can't ping it either, so it appears to be invisible from my neckof the woods.

Will fuss arund with it for a bit but with firewall disabled still no luck, and doesn't appear to be on my end. Y'all have a good flight if I still can't connect.

S!

Stoopy...
even though I was on the server twice this morning no problem and the server id was still displayed, I couldn't get on during the flight until I hit the "search" key...then the password box came up.
