The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. BRDM-2 and BTR-60 wrecks at the Mali army camp next tot Gao airbase. Also located here are 12 PT-76 wrecks. According to the locals a lot of these vehicles were used in the war with Burkina Faso. Here also, it is more easy to take photo's of operational aircraft than armour wrecks....

Another BTR-60 located at a checkpoint near Gao. Although it is all very old and sometimes not operational they are very nervous when taking pictures. At the Gao Mali army camp were 3 operational ZSU-23/4, used for direct fire against ground targets, 4 operational PT-76s light tanks and a handfull of BTR-60PBs.
