Post subject: Runescape?

My 10yr old just spent last week mining for metals to bring to a blacksmith to make armor......that was after he went fishing and traded his shrimp for a pick axe....!!!!!!!!

Then he traded the armor for a bow and arrow!

On holidays everyone gets a gift? See little knights running around in Santa hats???

There's only 48,375 playing right now.... What's up with this game? YIKES!!!!! Horrible graphics. And it's free????

Look at these guys fly fishing! lol

My boy plays a lot of games like that to. I don't see how he can set there for hours looking for gems, building citys and putting together a army. Looks kind of borring to me. I want my game to start up with guns a blazing LOL. Mr. Green

the trick would be to "bully and pillage"....why look for the gems when you could ambush those that have them with a Sherman tank and maybe a couple hundred bots armed to the teeth riding motor cycles and in attack vehicles....and if that's not enough, order yer wingmen to attack the ground targets, take out the flak and then concentrate on the ground troops...then to get the shrimps, jump in a XXII german sub and surface beside the shrimp boat, man the deck gun's and make them hand over the shrimp....this whole scenario requires Joint Operations, Pacific Fighters, COD United, Silent Hunter 3 ,and about 200,000 adults to accomplish taking on 48,375 kids in a fantasy game lol.

Yep! These kids are hooked on it to say the least!

My kid is now a "Full Green Dragon Hide Archer" using the coveted "Maple Short Bow" using the "Rune Arrows" and runs around the "Wilderness" as Combat Jr. defeating and killing everyone and then he gets their stuff! He seems to have taken the fork in the road leading down the path of evil at the moment! Twisted Evil

He also just told me as I am writing this that he has a side job selling "flax" that the "Crafters" use to make bow string. He is bringing in an income (tax free) of roughly 40k a day! lol

Oh just wait! The young Stoopenheimer Jr. got into that game, BIG-time, a year ago....oh it's free, but there's MORE you can do if you subscribe, oh yes.....at $5.00 per month or something....and soon, he'll be hounding you for that.......and you'll cave.......but daaaaaaaaadddddddd........

Fortunately, with help, Stoopy Jr. eventually recovered (actually, after Stoopy Sr. saw the next two report cards, the subscription was yanked - they weren't bad, but weren't getting any better, and I ain't mean but I do stress the priorities). I think it was getting old anyway. So a few months back we made a "deal" that in lieu of the subscription fee, I'd fund weekly guitar lessons instead so he can learn from a pro and not his funky old man. Sounding better every day and it's now a win-win situation all around.

Except now I'm hearing about X-Box live........oh lord......so he's hearing about a 4.0 GPA. Whatcha wanna bet Mom steps in??

Yeah Stoop Bat Jr. was a member. Lasted from August - about 5 days ago where I didn't renew after the report card came in. Same boat here....not bad....but not really good either! So he plays weekends in the non-member rooms. Not sure what's up with him and school this year yet....I think he is diggin' the whole Middle School thing a bit toooo much.

Nice idea about the guitar lessons though.

My 2 boys are asking about the portable Playstation PSP handheld thing. Haven't looked into it yet but I think this may be the first year Santa doesn't bring a new system of some sort....I hear heating oil prices in the North Pole went through the roof recently. Santa must be cutting back!
