Three new vehicles to the Battlefield Vegas collection
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Three new vehicles to the Battlefield Vegas collection

From Instagram and Facebook postings, Battlefield Vegas in Las Vegas, NV has recently added 3 new AFV's: a Sexton, M60A1, and BMP-1.

The Sexton was formerly part of the Littlefield Collection and sold at auction in July 2014. The purchaser recently sold it on eBay and Battlefield Vegas was the auction winner. This is Battlefield Vegas' 2nd Sexton.

The M60A1 came from the late Steve Preston's collection.

I don't know where the BMP-1 came from.

You can see the vehicles on Battlefield Vegas' Instagram account: "battlefieldvegas" and FB: "Battlefield: Vegas"

He also had a number of other vehicles, including the M60 and an M728. A Wall Street Journal article published before his passing showed photos of these vehicles, plus others.

I can't read the link without a subscription.

But, I think I remember reading something about him starting a musuem with another guy. But wouldn't the vehicles go back to the Center for Military History if the closed?

Here's a link to a post on the g503 armor forum about the M60A1.
