Folks here's some pics I snapped earlier today at the annual Toledo RC Expo. The Toledo show is one of, if not the largest RC trade show in North America.
Sorry about the picture quality. My digital has a few years on it now so it's grossly obsolete.

I wish my digi camera was as obsolete... Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Really nice pics Sposta.

I always wanted to move into scale r/c but never had the time and by the looks of the pics I think I would have lacked the 'touch'. I'm amazed at the quality of finish on the models.

I see you got a few pics of tanks as well :). The treadheads will pick the bones out of them...Probably modelled the 'wrong' knot on a piece of rope...
(Sorry guys, just kidding )

I can't imagine the skill and confidence it would take to send some of those into the sky after all that work! The F-86 and that incredible Otter on floats could pass for real 1:1 if photographed in the right setting. Shocked

I wasn't going to mention anything about the Sherman, but I'm pretty sure the bucket should actually be hung on the driver's side.... Wink

Ooo! Ooo! The Rare Bear!!! (even if the chrome spinner is a bit too big) And the WACO!!!! Ooo!!

Well, not that my first Gee Bee Model "E" was quite in that class, but it is a scale model and I spent a full year on it (not just piddling around) getting the details and paint exactly right....time came to fly it and it was tough for sure. Had no problems with the concept (it's what it was built for, anyway) but once it lifted off - with wayyy more left roll than it should have - and got up in the air and trimmed out, my knees were shakin' so hard they were bangin' together! Had a buddy on either side of me and I probably would have fallen over a couple of times during the flight if they hadn't been there to shove me back up straight....one of 'em asked me how it flew and I said something like "Uhh.uh..uhuh..uh...i-i-i-i-it f..fl....fl-fl-fli-fli-flies p-p-p-p-p-p-pretty....uh..uh...uhhh". Still remember the landing. It's why a lot of builders will get a 'hired gun' R/C pilot to take their baby up for them.

Excellent pix!!!!!!!

Of course, you will have noticed the shameless rip-off of your excellent AS 350 paint being used on the "Ramchargers" AA/FD digger! Wink

Naahhh! In an armored vehicle, the driver usually has the best ride, and it the one least likely to be uncomfortable. I was thinking more of it's use as a spittoon. Wink

My pleasure guys, I'm glad ya like 'em.

@ Shadow_Bshwackr
No. None of these fine models are mine. I wish I was half as tallented as the folks that build these. Maybe someday.

@ Doug_Kibbey
Hi Doug! Most if not all of these planes haven't seen air time. In fact they were most likely built with the Weak Signals contest in mind. I'm sure they all will eventually be flown. But hopefully not by a newb like me. Mr. Green

@ JG300-Stoopy
How 'bout that WACO, eh? Same color scheme as the Gee Bee Z. Yellow, black, and brown. My camera doesn't do justice to the fine detail.

L8er guys!

Wait! I gotta question!

In the picture of the two R/C Reno Racers (with the Rare Bear on the top left)......is that a company logo attached to the booth drapery in the background, or is the guy on the right just wearing a funny little hat with wings on it?
