Post subject: FATE IS THE HUNTER

This book written by Ernest K Gann is a great read if you like the budding Airline industry (pre-WW 2 To the 1950s). From chapter to chapter you will not want to stop reading. You will follow the career of an aspiring co-pilot and his adventures with various Captians always fighting the "numbers". Finally becoming a Captian himself and using everything he learned to not be a victim of FATE. If you like flying the old planes on the FS9, then you will like this book.Heck if you like to fly you will like it!!You fly with the character through the DC-2, DC-3 C-87, and DC-4s. From Newark to the Hump. Greenland to South America. Be warned if you have a moderate vocabulary, have a dictionary handy because Gann doesn't dumb this one down. It is such a good read though that shouldn't bother you. You just want to read on. Fate is always there... Does that extra 50 feet really make that much difference... You find out in the first chapter...Does it really make a difference who flies that next leg of the trip..... Maybe. How many hours before you will be at that particular place in time and space??
I've had this book about 30 years now and I have read it Three times, and ever time it is thrilling.

Wow....this sounded so good I went looking for it tonight and got skunked at my favorite Texas-sized half-price & used bookstore as well as the Barnes & Noble. Guess when I get home from travel I'll have the local store order it - sounds fantastic!!
