Post subject: July 9th Sunday flight

Back to the coast, we reach a big international airport for the first time after weeks spent on makeshift airfields in the desert: water again! But it won't be easy to reach it: the plan is rather tortuous, in spite of those who state a straight line is the closest way between two points Wink

Hi Marco (and all)

Won't be able to make it this week, as not only is it the small matter of the World Cup Final, but I'm down at Fairford getting ready for this...

www.airtattoo.com/

Every year we make a pilgrimage to sit at the end of the runway, drink beer, and watch tons of airplanes... Sunday is our pre-event gathering - BBQ and competition time! Hopefully I'll have loads of photos next week to share!

By the way, Italy for the cup without a doubt, 3-1

Wow, Phil, I really hope you'll take lots of pics, and upload them all somewhere so that we can partake into your fun Smile

Indeed, I'll join you this Sunday just to salute you, as the final match will begin shortly after our meeting time. My hope is that the French team will surrender after half a hour and leave the field in tears, so that I can make the flight, but something tells me it won't be that easy, eh? Wink
