Sherman-- stowage identification
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

anyone have any idea what exactly has been placed thru the lift ring on the back of this sherman?

NIce shot of an M4 tankdozer in action. If you're asking about the "thing" in the turret lift ring, I can't make it out. Looks like a pipe of some sort. It would be nice to see a better resolution photo.

God! I hope that dozer crew knew that rifleman is laying down there between the blade and that wall. Sad

As for what is hanging of the tank, no clue.
