Kubinka Panther Testdrive
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

To rework the tires on a panther to original condition would cost some big bucks, they could just have recapped them and left out the viberation dampers. I know Littlefield had tires remanufactered for his panther with the dampers molded in them.

My only information is "reconditioned" but what that actually includes I don't know, I'll try to find out more.

Hi all,

The earlier discussion about the Panther II left me wondering something.

What is the difference between a Panther and a Panther II? What makes it special? At one time I probably knew, and I'm sure I'll feel silly for asking once I know again, but I'm really curious.
