Post subject: faster transport ride ;-)

the other day there was some exchange of ideas for a faster means of transport for larger distances.

Thinking about that and also bearing in mind that we ( at least most of us that I know of ) aren't that keen on flying Jet Airliners, I made an EZ-installer pack for Kirk Ollsson's wonderfull North American F-86 Sabre as an alternative means of fast transport.

It has 2 variants of Aircraft and in total 59 different paint scheme's ( and yes I hear you, that are not all the paints for it available Laughing ) wich I tought make a nice cross section for diversity Wink

Let me hear what you estimated virtual pilot's think of this idea.

attached some screenie's of some variants .........................

Mmm, no passengers? So the better: when I'll crash at light speed there will be no victims Mr. Green
Approved! Cool
Could you please attach here a link to that?

I've flown a version of her, and she handles preatty well. Its a fighter so the reaction of the wings is faster than a civil plane in a roll. Other than that it's a preatty nice plane.

great, just starting to get comfy in the Howard and you throw a fighter jet at me.....I didn,t see the training wheels I,ll need to taxi that bad boy down the runway...being old and feeble as I am. lol....actually how does she compare to theLear for top speed and range? Pretty aircraft...if you need a test pilot I,ll give her a shot. just name the place and time.

Rigel,

I've stuck another fire rocket onto that darned pidgeon again and pointed it towards you Laughing

make shure you duck for cover when it comes in, it has a reasonable high landingspeed

Rigel, we'll go on with the Howard for two more flights now, then we need such a faster kite to cover a long distance in a reasonable time (which is around less than two hours).

Then we'll switch to a slower plane - maybe the Spartan Executive, or even the Beech D-18, both Milton's creations.

I cannot anticipate more than this - though I'm aware there are rumours of what is going to happen Mr. Green
