Post subject: May 27th Sunday flight

Well, it was since some time that I was waiting for this: we're better to drink an extra cup of coffee and accurately polish our window panes, 'cause we're going to take the most of this flight by night, and if I reckon well, we will neither be able to rely upon the moon. Swallowed by darkness, we can count only on the help of our ATC!

I'd like to take a whack at this sometime, my major question is: where would I find the aircraft (F-86) you planned to use. I'll try to get in for next Sunday, June 3. I can access GameSpy, but which room and name, etc. would I look for?

If this info is posted somewhere already, please just let me know where I can read up on it. ~S~ Thank you.

I should know this, but...are FS2004 aircraft fylable in FSX? I have both. I remember flying some (was it FS 2000..?) aircraft in FS2004 and it was a little odd at times -- the rotorcraft had no rotors as I recall. If I catch Rigel on-line, I'll cross-examine him, I know he has dome some Sunday flights.

Thank you!

Hi Talus,

We tested some of the aircraft we're used to employ during our flights, and usually they are compatible with FSX, but I'm not sure about the Sabre.

Anyway, the flights run on FSHost, through which you can join the session both in FS9 and FSX. You don't need GameSpy, just open a multiplayer session by direct IP - I'm sending to you IP# and pw in a separate MP.

We also use TeamSpeak for comm, and to join you just have to scroll down the left bar until you reach our TS module: clicking on the room you want to enter, you'll be asked your callsign and the pw (sent now to you by PM).

Both servers, game and TS, work 7/24, so that, beyond the Sunday flights and the Bush Flying flights, you can plan with mates of yours which are members here any activity you want.

OK so, as I understand it: 1) prepare for the flight by taking the nav info and create a FLP in the GPS using the WPTS. (I don't know how to do radio/VOR/nav). 2) Make sure you have enough fuel, 3) show up in the right place at the right time and get on comms, 4) Get from A to B in one piece using the selected aircraft.

Is that pretty much it?

Thanks, Rodion, for the PM's and your assistance. If I'm not in on Sunday the 3rd it is because I got dragged to some damn social event. Twisted Evil

Even easier, Talus.

If you download the small package from the link I place at the bottom of each flight announce, you'll get the nav-log and flight plan and maps without the need of making anything yourself.
