The guy who ordered that Rover wasn't even there to pick it up, so I'm camping here till he comes. Can't leave that baby all alone here.

Laughing Laughing Laughing LOL, I told ya that a big plane might be needed for a mission. That C-123 looks like it was perfect. Now, he might need some fuel to get out of there though.

Moser, did you carry the car SEPZ?

Now you got me confused lol. Alright, I may have screwed things up, my question, is each flight flown each day by a different pilot? i.e. One pilot flies Monday's flight, then a different one for tuesday, and so on. Because I originally thought that we all do the same flights. I'm sorry for the confusion, but can someone clarify this?

I had that exact same question.... If we each take turns flying certain days, maybe we should assign pilots for certain days ahead of time? that would avoid allot of confusion...

Sorry if I messed anything up. My understanding was that only one pilot was doing one trip, whoever was available to do it, and reporting here. Today was the car delivery day, so I took it on my own to do it this morning.

I also tried to be realistic, that's why I took the C123. Everybody knows that even a small car won't fit in a twin-otter, unless you take it all apart.

And yes, I need some fuel to get out of here.....

Wow! Putting only 846.o4 pounds of fuel in that big beasty really cut it close. I'm suprised you didn't run out. You must have leaned that puppy out to starvation levels.

LOL.. I feathered the prop alot, and came down gliding when I realized I was running out. The fuel quantity was there by default, I figured I'd try it like that. Next time, I'll make a flight plan.. Mr. Green

The only other thing you could have done was overload it a bit to get a little more mileage, but you may not have gotten off the ground. You probably could have made it down with a reserve, but getting in the air would have been a major battle. I don't know what the starting field was like, whether there were any obstructions on take off or not. Sometimes a good long run, when overloaded you might get enough lift to take off.

Its my job to get the contracts and to post the flights up so all the Bush Pilots can see what needs done. Its your jobs to decide who takes each job on.....In the near future there may be a need for 2-3 of you to get together and fly a leg or 2 online at the same time.

I think that, privately, nothing can prevent us from flying all the planned legs, but at least officially there's only one car to carry and so on, so some coordination wouldn't be a bad idea.

Of course, the choice of the C-123 was a wise one, and I agree that, as a matter of realism, no Otter could have done the job. I brought the crates ( same weight than the car) knowing it wasn't something that could be replicated in real life, just to test the plane's capabilities.

This brings me to a further consideration. I choose from the start to use only single engined planes (probably 'cause I use already big kites during the Sunday flights, and feel the need for something different), so for the sake of realism there are some jobs I can't accomplish.

If each of us builds up his stock of aircraft according to his own personality and preferences, we should get a bunch of pilots that can face up to any task, without forcing anybody to do what he doesn't like and respecting realism. As a consequence, each of us might gain an identity inside the group, and along the development of our BF club, particular tasks might be assigned individually.

I confess at this stage I feel a bit confused too, but things are taking their shape along the way, and MD is doing an outstanding job: I see a great circulation of ideas and proposals that can only improve our fun. Mr. Green

I see a small sub contract in the works guys, Exos needs fuel to continue, and I'm not yet back flying.

Hey Exos, did the guy finally come and pick up his Rover?

Mmm... later I'll load the Otter and bring you some: how much do you need for your retour leg?

In the meanwhile, I brought the beer - four crates, 2000 lbs = 908 kgs; this time I tested the Grand Caravan - good plane, though with that huge belly it's not so sexy as the Otter Wink
