Post subject: Com Central Sunday flights 2007: a yearly balance

I have to say that, looking at the pics you can see below, summarizing our 2007 flights, I've been rather puzzled at the quirky and twisted way we followed... well, that's my responsibility, of course, so if you have something to complain about, you know who you have to shoot at.
Mr. Green
A bit of statistics, as usual:
during the 2007 year, we flew 51 flights, covering a distance of 20.861,70 nautical miles, for an approximate duration of 77 hours and 54 minutes - well, this is really quite approximate!
The full list of the planes we used, in order of appearance, is as follows:

Howard 500, by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and João Paz
North American F-86 Sabre, by Kirk Olsson
Aero Commander AC 50/52/56/68, by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and André Folkers
Lockheed L-049 Constellation, by the FSDezign team
Spartan 7W Executive, by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and Urs Burkhardt

To get an overall impression of the whole trip, please have a look at these screenshots taken with the help of Google Earth.

Case you want to experience just a portion of the thrill, and have Google Earth installed, here's a little kml file which will help you. Consider it includes all the airfields we touched as destinations. The very small zip package includes also a flight plan for FS9 and FSX, case you're so bold to attemp the whole adventure in one leg!

All of this would mean nothing, if it weren't for all of you who joined the flights, sharing the experience and contributing in making it so exciting.
Special mention has to be credited to our trusted ATC, Uhu_Fledermaus, whose contribution wasn't limited to drive us safely to the ground, but also spent great effort in providing all the EZ aircraft packages we needed for our adventures, and improved the overall appearance of the sim through his Environmental packages, whose last update he gave us right now as a new year present. Thank you, Wolter!
And we must not forget our host Shadow_Bushwckr, who made all this possible: for you, a yearly supply of maccaroni and red wine!
Right at the end of the past year, we crossed a continental border and moved our first step into Africa: this is where we'll spend most of the 2008, so you are better to fetch proper clothes to meet a different climate.

Welcome into the Com-Central 2008 Sunday flights tour!

OUTSTANDING recap Marco...

I have to say these Leisurely Sunday Flights are really enjoyable and from these flights we've seen places some of us may never get to go. Some great times as I remember back in 2007, the laughs, jokes, kidding around and the discussions from such a diverse group is something I brag about to people who just can't imagine the adventures we have.

A special thanks to the Administrators of this event, Marco and Fled who's personal time devoted to making these events come off without any problems are truly appreciated.

We've seen many patrons come and go in the Sunday Flights and yes, some we've lost to life's real life tragedies, but it's been wonderful to meet each and every one of you.

The Sunday Flights are open to anyone who feels like joining from Newbies to Veteran Sim Pilots. It gives me great pleasure to see someone new join that has many questions or problems and the whole room lights up as they try to help solve any problems or answer any questions they have. A great bunch indeed!
