Just a look at the nav-log and you'll realize this is a rather particular flight: almost no nav-aids at all, just intersections, but no ILS on landing ground... so what? All of this was to the effect of forcing you to pay a visit to the Panama channel... before a long leg which will bring you to Kingston! Mr. Green

Rolling Eyes

I hardly dare to contradict, but following was stated in above mentioned flightplan:
Cruise speed: 320 KIAS
Cruise altitude: 6.000 ft.
Weather: real
Time: 18:00 local - 23:00 GMT

may I, no offence ment, remind you that below flightlevel 100 a speed restriction is in order of 250 KIAS

Hehe, Wingnut, I need to admit our ATC is right. Wink

The indicated cruise level is intended to force us to fly low over the Panama channel, so not to miss the details on ground: of course, to this effect it's even better if you make a slow pass, too; but once we're over open sea, we should climb at... you decide how much, so to be allowed to increase our speed.

I am hoping to attend this weeks flight, but Sunday we are celebrating Mother's Day and the HitMan's house Momma's day festivities may interfere with my schedule.

Thank you for the warm welcome and my apologies for keeping you fellas on the ground waiting for me so long.

I am getting a fair amount of stick time in and working on my landing of the larger birds. I am not used to landing anything other than a B-17 and landing VFR at that, so ATC is a new experience for me.

I am sure that XcalibeR is more than willing to act as ATC and practice with me.

I really enjoyed navigating and have to say that was my best flight navwise even up untill the landing, erm uh swimming!
