Post subject: Frozen Screen?

Hello all, and thanks for having me! Just new on today, I am having trouble with my il2 FB,PF, game. I have just patched up to version 404 but there seems to be a problem when i join in a game, as soon as i get into a lobby the screen freezes and i have to reboot and it keeps happening again and again? If i play just a normal game offline everything is normal, do you think it could be a connection issue? Any help would be great!!!! thanks in advance,
Bayrunner Sad

Hiya bay' and welcome to C-C.
It sounds like a software issue between the game and server and I think I already know which of our members is going to be able to help you best.
But could you provide your hardware spec's so we can just double check that it's not a related conflict?
Cheers

Hi bayrunner, welcome to Com Central.

The latest version of FB is 4.08 I believe, actually I think it's 4.09 but most play the 4.08 version either merged or PF standalone.

I presume since you have FB and PF you are running the merged version.

Just to complicate matters, you also may have problems joining 1946 servers.

Your first step is to patch your FB/PF game to 4.08 and make sure you have the latest version of HL.

Hi Bayrunner and welcome to CC... (Hey, there's an echo in here... Wink ) LOL

I tend to agree with Kit and think it's a version issue. If the game works fine offline, it makes me think your hardware/machine is ok. However, once you join or try to join MP, then you're having issues, that's an online OS/Software/IP conflict. Smile

After saying that... FB+AEP+PF can only be patched to 4.04(m)

Most servers are running the 1946 version which is patched to 4.08

All the patches are available here
