Post subject: April 27th Sunday flight

One flight in two legs, with two landings on a twin engined plane, across two islands belonging to two different countries, in less than two hours - no, you're not seeing double 'cause you're drunk, and you are better to keep sober, because there's so much salty water down there... oh, well, a beer at destination, but I wonder if they know what it is, so maybe bringing it from home would be an idea.

Hi jhunter,

the time you see shown in the nav-log is just how you have to set your clock during the flight. It changes flight by flight so that we can enjoy different situations of light - for instance, we can run a flight at midday, such as in this case, or by night, or at sunset, and so on.

Instead, the meeting is always fixed at 19:00 GMT, in which case you are supposed to join in at 19:00 - 5 = 14:00... unless opposite indication: if it's really 18:00, this might explain why I'm always late!
Wink

to add to the confusion Laughing

the flight is always set at 20:00 CET ~ Central European Time

normally during winter we are at GMT+1 hence the 19:00 GMT time

BUT

We are now in so called Summertime (Daylight saving time)

wich is GMT+2

therefore the remark that we start at 18:00 GMT or UTC

still with us ? Laughing

Mr. Green
... which in turn leads to this: if we join at 20:00, and indipendently from legal time we are at GMT+1 - we don't change time zone, do we? - jhunter will be at "us" -6, as he's GMT-5, ergo...

I sense we're losing him...
