Old APG photos
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Found some photos today. Interesting shots of the newly arrived German equipment

great photos, thanks Dontos. The color shots are sometime later thean arrival because the Panther in Pic #2 has already been sliced open and caged for diaplay. I'm thinking late 60's

and the car in the background of the 'two Tigers' photo looks more modern than a '40s model

How cool would this be to see? I posted several more Aberdeen pics over at the CDSG site and will add to that as I find them. Some Tigers and things.....

Yeah... Or the K5 Glatt 31cm railway gun... Or the V3 vengeance weapon... I would say assembled, but dont know practical that would be... Perhaps partially assembled, instead of in a pile Wink

I posted a bunch of APG inactive file photos a couple of years ago...

Yeah, not quite as nice as yours though... I admittedly went for quantity, rather than quality... I realized it would be a lot quicker to take pictures of the photos & docs using my digital camera than scanning all of them... As it was it ate up much of day, or two if I remember... Scanning would have taken a lot longer...
