USAF MRAP's
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Isn't Creech the downlink base for flying Predator?

You know you are getting old when

They have started renaming bases after commanders you can remember making jokes about the changes they instituted when they took over Confused

I can remember when Gen Creech took over TAC. He started a 'spruce up campaign that included a somewhat standardised color scheme on all TAC bases of a light tan overall color with medium brown accents. The color scheme was generally called 'Creech Brown'

Indian Springs might be a Predator downlink site. It is an outlying field to Nellis AFB and was used to support the ranges used for Red Flag and weapons testing. Back in the old days they would occasionally base overflow units at the runway there when they were having a big Red Flag exercise. So with a good runway, proximity to the ranges, a less active Red Flag schedule and being somewhat isolated it would make sense that they based the predator effort there.

It's the Predator place. Used to be Indian Springs Air Force Auxillary Field.
