Armor for the Ages: T28 moving...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

For anyone wishing to see her one more time on the museum grounds, this will be the last opportunity."

I got an e-mail from the museum director this morning. Since the temps are expected to be warmer tomorrow, they are moving the T28 today while the ground is still frozen and the M88 is available. I really wish I could have had a look inside her. _________________ armorfortheages.com/

It is being moved to another location on post so that the outside run of tracks can be removed and the vehicle prepped for shipping. _________________ armorfortheages.com/

IRT to the T28.....

2 M88s were used to tow it from the Museum grounds to the KY MATES (

). I'll run by there in the morning and see what its disposition is and hopefully get some shots of it.

The 'Turret' (Ft Knox newspaper) had a reporter onhand, so perhaps an article with photos will be forthcoming.

As for more info on the T28,...."Patience young Jedi's", all the answers you seek will become appearent soon... Wink
