Armor for the Ages: T28 moving...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Photos of the T28 move can be found in the Volunteer News section on Armor for the Ages. Here is the direct link.

Here are a few photos that I received via email last night.

Can't seem to access AFTA, so not sure if these are what Garry has posted.

Thanks. AFTA is down for me, too, FWIW. To be honest I'm impressed the thing still rolls.

Oh, BTW

The first image shows the M88 spinning its tracks on the ice & snow, as it tries to get a 'bite' after moving onto the 'hardball'.

Today I did go by the Museum for a quick 'look-see'. The track marks from the concrete thru the bushes kinda tell the story.

Interesting that the center of the concrete stand has a large crack. It was along the center area beneath where the T28 stood its several decade 'vigil'.

Don

Armor for the Ages is up. May have had too much traffic at one time.
