Black and white photos from the Pacific 2
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Its an M18.

I have that photo here (somewhere). I'll dig it out and see what the 'blurb' says on the reverse side.

I've been doing a bunch of M18 research lately and that is actually one of the few I found from the Pacific Theater, at least so far....

More to follow

Don

Found it, but no reverse scan. My notes say its taken on Shuri, Okinawa on 11 May 1945. The vehicle is an M18 from the 309th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Its SC 208054, if that helps.

Don
