The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Today I was doing a 'recon' mission in the archives.

While looking thru one of the photographic collections, I found a few 1945 photos of the capture of JadgTiger 331 by the 10th Armored Div.

Is this the JadgTiger currently at APG ? There was a pencil notation on the photo jacket that indicated it was at APG?

I took some photos of the original SC photos but unfortunately they did not turn out well.

I may attempt to revisit these and other photos with computer/scanner tomorrow.

I can post them if there is interest in such photos....(!?)

At bottom of page are some pics of that vehicle that turned up on eBay when in transit during recovery. ISTR a number of pics of it in front of the building where it was immobilized, with a picket fence or something in foreground.

The multiple photos I saw have the CG of 10th AD doing an 'inspection' (photo op !) on and around JT 331. Although the focus is the CG, there are some very clear photos of the wholce vehicle.

Guess I need to scan those,..huh?

If you had ever come to Aberdeen for one of my tours you would know the answer to that Smile There is a picture of it just after it was captured in The Army Green books. It is in Pictorial Record: The War Against Germany: Europe and Adjacent areas on page 397

Notice in the background of the photo of the beast on the railcar is a SDKFZ 250/8-another rare vehicle!
