M36 Jackson - Survivors
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I think the same because that is the only source showing the M36 indoor and is quite old. None recent gallery show a m36 indoor.

Hi Massimo! Hi Folks!

Interesting information plates on the M56 and SU100.

Looks like a great collection and the vehicles are being repainted from time to time.

What is with the items painted red? Why are museums doing that?

Thanks for posting the link.

Does anyone know for sure, what became of the M36B1 that was at COB Speicher, Tikrit, Iraq? I saw it outside the COB in 2003, then it was inside the COB in 2005-2006, but it was not there last year. I heard that the TX ARNG shipped it back to the States, but I also heard the 28th ID, PA ARNG was shipping it back. Is it one of those in the lists above?

Does anyone notice something strange about this M36? I actually noticed two things about it that seem strange. I'm curious if anyone else noticed.

Bob

The muzzle break perhaps and the bore evacuator, seems to have come off of an M26/M46? Not sure what else.

The first thing that pops out is the bow MG. I'll have to study it some more.
