Post subject: July 2nd Sunday flight

We are not yet out of this ghastly desert, but the appearance of NDBs makes us hope we will soon back to civilization: there's also some more work for our ATC, as for the first time in ages there will be an ILS waiting for us at destination: might it be because it's a military airfield?

Sunday flights have changed my life. Thanks, Com-Central. I now know a little about Australia, Routers, Ports, firewalls, DMZ and VOZ. Thanks guys for helping me out and getting me involved in online flying. Thanks, Milton for those great planes that you provide for us. What a community!

Here is a photo taken at the end of our flight Sunday. This is most of our group at YPTN - Katherine/Tindal Military base in Northern Territory - Australia. With a 9,019 ft. runway we had no trouble landing the Howard 500.

S! Lazy8!! You're right - the Sunday flights are good fun - and it does improve your geography LOL!!!

You just wait until Marco slips in some short runways in New Zealand, and Fled decides to be cunning with the weather!! 9,000 feet is luxury Wink

See you next Sunday -

H

Work still to be done. I need to learn how to make a photo big enough so you can see it and to figure out how to post more than one photo in a reply.

Still having trouble trying to figure out how to vote on a photo in the contest. I can rate it but cannot figure out how to submit it. I know I am missing something very elemental and one day maybe even I can vote! Rolling Eyes

Looking forward to the next Sunday flight! Smile

Once you pick the star rating or 'rate' it and hit the submit button, that registers your vote... Wink

I'll be happy to work with you and teach you how to submit larger and multiple pics. Send me a PM with your available time to get on TS and I'll meet you there. Like most things in life, once you know the precedures, it's easy...
