Sinsheim. USA AFVs
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Move away from panzers and look at some USA vehicles. There were many more on the outside, but the snow prevented me to shot outdoor.

Here is the M41:

Why does the Weasel sport a Red star? Is it a type of vehicle the U.S. supplied to the Soviets?

Gentlemen, Massimo....

Staff has been remiss in not recognizing how many wonderful pictures were going to emerge from this visit. Official policy (because staff is mindful that we do have some members on dial-up) is to limit number of pictures to a post to ten. It's OK (and advised) that for lengthy photo-essays, multiple threads be opened such as in this case (Say, for example "Sinsheim AFV's Pt. 1", then another "Sinsheim AFV's Pt. 2, etc.). Membership really wants to see all the great pictures, but it's kinda' hard of dial-up guys (refer to sticky post at top of these boards by admins, if I'm not being clear)

www.com-central.net/in...amp;t=7960

Massimo, would you be so kind as to start a new page with your recent M29 pictures and delete the ones in this thread (because it's the only logical breaking point in the dialogue). We really want to see all your stuff, but we want all members to be able to enjoy them. Take all the new threads starts you need.

Many thanks! Sorry for being late to catch this, my bad.

I apologize Doug, I am so used to broadband that I forget too often about people on slower connections.
I rearranged things to comply to the rules. I am going to do the same for german AFVs too.

Hi,

What variant of the M41 did the Germans use? I'm thinking M41A3, but don't really know how to determine what version of M41 that is.

Chuck
