North Carolina MH Museum - Ft Fisher Photos
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

North Carolina Military History Museum – Fort Fisher, NC

After seeing Lesley’s post on this place, we took a trip down to document. Museum bldg itself was closed, but outside statics were accessible.

Interesting number. The first letter (year of building) I dont have in my list which ranges from 1955 - 1975.

05 is production month (may)

GT is the factory indication. GT I have never seen before on pictures

Maybe our Russian colleagues know more about this number?

Regards,
Lesley

VB,

Not sure what you mean by the tow lugs, they look pretty standard to me.

Yeah, oops on the tow lugs!! When I saw them on this tank, they just looked funny. I realize now that I never really looked at the tow lugs - except to find the SN.

Always good to make a fool of oneself in a public forum!!
Isn't the first time for me and won't be the last!!

Cheers!
