Post subject: a minor weaselly complaint

der Baron asked me to inquire about a strange situation. The last shot in his blimp series "gotcha" of which he was unjustifiably proud, was displayed as the shot of the day for Nov. 31, 2011 The pecular thing about this is there is not now, or has there ever been a Nov. 31. just wondering Confused

My apologies, I don't know how I missed seeing this post before now.

Der Baron has a valid complaint and as tempting as it is to blame it on technology ("the software did it"), I will take the hit for this. The assignment selections are fairly simple, a picture is scheduled by selecting a number 1-12 for the month and another number 1-31 for the date of the month. Frequently, I have had to remind myself to double-check for "short" months to make sure I wasn't scheduling a picture for Nov. 31 or April 31 or Feb 29 (unless it's a leap year). This time, I failed to do that.

I will most definitely add it to my checklist and in the meantime please feel free to re-submit the blimp pic so I can give it the scheduling on an actual day that it deserves.

When I was in the third grade I ate 4 plates of my mom's spaghetti and then later that night by coincidence went to the hospital to have my appendix removed. During those subsequent days I was out, the class learned the months and day rules while I was sitting in a hospital bed reading comic books. Seem to still be playing catch-up after all these years!

And Thank You for bringing this to my attention!

It's good to know there is good reason for it. a mother's spaghetti and gravy is a sacred thing even here in the Pines. Wink I'll reup it for the Baron and call it Gotcha redux

"Gotcha Redux" is scheduled for display this coming Monday, December 19 and I'm very glad you brought it up because it is a GREAT pic that would have been a real shame to miss!

And ditto on the gravy....mmmmm.......
