Ft Indiantown Gap, PA Hard Targets
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Ft Indiantown Gap, PA Hard Targets
After checking Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA I found a lot of the old Hard Targets from 40 deg. 25" 37.01" N x 76 deg. 41' 03.96" W follow to 40 deg. 26' 03.02" N x 76 deg. 40' 02.26" W. If you follow the bomb marks, it covers this area. There's a variety of tanks and APCs along with a "fake" train (looks to be made up of old trucks) and 2 aircraft near hangers. There's also a variety of storage containers there. I used to hike up on the south side ridge, and spotted the hard targets which appeared to be old M59 APCs and M48 series tanks. They would arrest you in the valley since A10 Warthogs could show up at any time. Probably not allowed in the target range to see the hulls close up anyway, due to unexploded ammunition. Note the circular "Stonehenge" type target area with what appears to be an old APC in the middle. Rick
