FYI: New US Army Base Access Policy
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

We went through something similar at Fort Knox years ago where we had to go to the Visitors Center, show all relevant documents, and then issued a pass we showed at checkpoints. This later changed to just scanning our driver's license at checkpoints. _________________ armorfortheages.com/

Sounds like its going to go back to the former - with the addition of checking your name & info in this FBI database. Drivers license only happened after they got rid of base stickers - now they are realizing they need something more to check backgrounds than just confirming someone has a driver's license.
