When you click on join game, look at the top of the screen and you'll see a section called 'source' click on this section until it says 'internet' and a list of games will appear depending on what your filter settings are.

You can also use xfire to find games of all sorts...

Try lowering your firewall or opening up your router ( If applicable ) Somtimes a firewall will stop your PC from receiving the server queries.

If all that fail's visit the link Kit posted and download the Xfire client, You can add my name : SnwMan0 ( 0 is a zero ) This will allow you to join games i am currently in , See friend's of Friend's ect ...

As Snowy says, if your behind a router you need to open ports to let the data through, in the case of CoD there are common ports that most servers use...

You need to open ports 28960, 28961 and 28962 this is enough for most people to play on most servers.

The 'official' required open ports are 20500, 20510 and those above

If your running a firwall then they generally ask if you want a program to access the internet otherwise you'll have to config your firewall.

As for servers running all the time..:) There are hundreds if not thousands all playing different types of games with different levels of play.

A good test would be to try and join the SoSquad server (IP is posted elsewhere...bad memory...lol) Join the game by clicking on 'source' until it reads 'favourites' and then add the IP address as a favourite.

This will see if you have access to the net or not.

Battlefield 2 is an incredible game.... It just gets extremely frustrating now and then. LOL. Btw, how is the expansion pack? I've been considering buying it myself too.

The expansion pack has 8 new maps and a bunch of new toys to play with. The night maps are an interesting change of pace. The civilian vehicles are very quiet, nothing like the armor in BF2 you can hear coming from a mile away. The new small arms can be used in BF2 games.

Is it worth the $30 - YES
