M4A1 Sherman @ Sinsheim museum (DE) - curious modification
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hello there,

could you please tell me what's this weird thing on the front hull of that M4A1? Thanks in advance.

Looks perhaps like an attachment for a dozer blade?

Correct, this is the part which housed the hydraulic cylinder which moves the dozer blade up and down.

Thanks Neil and Hanno for your replies.
