about X-plane 9? I saw this flight sim in future shop today and was intrigued.

You need 60 gigs of hard drive space for install ( all the textures) It sounds like a new version, not a new game.
The scenery looks awesome and for 50 bucks I can't see how you can go wrong.

need to check some flight sim sites like surclaro, etc for free add ons. X-plane is well known and many people in flight school use it for its excellent flight dynamics.

Yep, I think the last version I checked out was 6.0. Good sim but not as many add-ons as FS9 or FSX. The options choices are outstanding if not a bit overwhelming... Wink

if you load it on the right system (I believe) X-Plane is certified by the FAA for use in instrument training (some hours go against those you need to fly)... so it must be a pretty good product.
