Arsenalen
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Some notes for the PDF registers:

1) We better be consistent on the Museum's name, we are using both: "Arsenalen Tank Museum, Strängnäs (Sweden)" and "Swedish Vehicles Military Museum, Strangnas (Sweden)". We better pick one name/description and stick with it. I prefer the first name, since "Arsenalen" is kind of a brand Smile

2) Seems to be Ikv 91 (204607) belongs to Armeemuseum Stockholm. I should be able to confirm it very soon

3) Ikv 91 (????). The second tank listed on the Ikv 91 PDF. The picture wasn't taken at Arsenalen

4) Clearly Arsenalen own more Ikv 91s than just the two I saw on display. We should add them to a list of AFVs we expect to be on storage. Stefan may be able to review the list and provide additional info

Note for Rafal: Stridsvagn Strv 103C (202364) is entered twice inside the PDF

I'd be very glad to know if the M4A2 which is in storage still has its manufacturer's plate inside the driver's compartment, and if the answer is "yes", to get a picture of it.

One for Walter Smile

Tgb M 42 M is the Swedish name. These were used as tractors for the 10.5 cm leFH 18 (Haub m/39)

This Kubelwagen belongs to a private collector, usually there is a Schwimmwagen in this slot

Here comment from Gunnar Österlund (posted on Flickr):

Sweden bought 600 of these trucks from Germany during WW II. It was the first trucks with diesel enginge in the Swedish Army. Sweden payed with copper ore and timber.
25 trucks was lost during transport to Sweden when the ship was sunk. But the factory made 25 new and delivered so the deal could be fullfilled.

I was really surprised when I saw this Leo 2 prototype. Hull s/n is 7, but it's hard to tell what's the turret's s/n:

I was wrong. At least this wasn't there when I visited the place last month.
