M1313 Sparks : Captions Wanted.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Ok, here is the M1313 Sparks. If you can come up with a suitable caption for it, please do so! I'll include two pictures, one with a blank space for your caption (pretty much any photo editor will allow you to enter text), and the second with my submission. Here's your chance to let everybody know exactly what the Sparks means to you!

The most eco-friendly weapons system ever fielded. It's also bio-degradable!

(At least the one my old room-mate owned certainly was!)

Hey, it's not like my ride of the same time period was much better, a 1973 Datsun 610 showing more rust than paint! OTOH, my Datsun outlived the Pinto in question by about 5 years.

David

P.S. - the only AMC product I ever owned was a '73 Javelin, not a Pacer. There are some things that even I won't do!

Chassis = $3,000
Advanced electronics suite = $6.5 million
Development and procurement costs = $85 billion over sixteen years.
...that sleeps six.

And there are 50,000 M1313 with M666s just setting in local storage yards waiting to be recalled to active duty! Write your congressman/woman today and demand these outstanding items be refielded to our troops overseas.
