Post subject: Missing something

S! All,

Ok here goes. I did a reformat a couple of weeks ago and made sure that I followed the patch sequence to the letter.

Now I get some the planes that are not flyable from the cockpit? That I could before the reformat Confused I just simply must be missing an update or something of the sort along the way.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah! almost forgot, after choosing a plane that is not flyable from cockpit, when I try and go back to change planes i cant do it, nor will it disconnect me from the game? I have to hit the windows key and do the ctrl+alt+del thing and close it out that way. Evil or Very Mad

Sounds like a corrupted FB/AEP/PF install. Did you try to reinstall those again? Does the stand alone PF install work ok?

~S~ Bush may be right, you may have a bad install. You also may have missed a patch. I don't know if your aware or not but they now have a megapatch out so you don't have to do all the smaller patches.

Mark, I just reinstalled FB/AEP/Pacific Fighters again and this is what worked for me...

1) FB install-Stock, no updates.

2) AEP install-Stock, no updates.

3) PF install-Stock, then all updates starting at 3.01m, 303m, 304m, 401m, 402m, 403m, 404m.

That should be the way for you to check. Make sure your installed the (M) updates which stands for 'merged'.

Hope this helps...

I've downloaded at Gamershell.com the 4.02m patch just to find out it was the stand alone version 4.02. Which is only 24 Mb large, the one you need is the 30 Mb 4.02M. I've downloaded at www.filefront.com w/o any mistitles.

Bush,

I believe that you may have a problem with that install. I believe there is a map error when bypassing the big AEP patch. The game will run fine but there maybe a problem with online play on a certain map....I will investigate further and get back to you with the details.
