The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. I also have some pics of modern & WWII reenactor vehicles from the open house today (it was Armed Forces day around the country today). I'll try to post tomorrow.

I stopped by Camden Military Academy on my way back to find an empty pad where the M60 apparently used to be. I was told that a few years ago the board of trustees - of the Camden MILITARY Academy - decided it was "too military" and gave it back to the SC ARNG.

Hi Neil! Hi Folks!

Thanks for the great pictures!

M114 Lingle

Nice looking 'Lingle'! Looks like it is not missing anything off the outside. Wonder how bad the inside looks?

For all you CIA guys, check out the three black vents below the red switchs. Anyone care to guess what that is? (Note: if you saw the Gunny on Mail Call, you can not answer!)

I've discovered/realized that M46s are relatively rare - just five in the US:

Fort Dix, NJ
Fort Jackson, SC
Fort Knox, KY
Fort Leonard Wood, MO
Northlake, IL

There used to be another on in Etters PA, current status/location unknown...

Here's another of the Fort Jackson example (SN 1169 - a pretty high number actually).

I always have great difficulty telling the difference between the M46 & M46A1.....

Cool
