Post subject: flight chair

S! Alle
I hope that this is the right place to ask this...

I am building a flight chair, and I would like to find some plans for the rudder pedals which were used in the Fw190 or the Bf110, since they are similar.

I hope to be able to complete this chair by the winter at the latest. As soon as some apreciable progress can be seen I plan to post the pictures here.

Some basics:
I am starting with an aluminum frame, and an hotrod seat from JC Whitney. Add to this the monitor arm. I work for a linear bearing company and I am in charge of creating new demos and tearing down/scrapping old ones, (Jerry this means free parts) so I have access to alot of things, big pipe dream is to bolt some servo amps onto this rig...
3 axis Pitch Roll and Yaw... limited in range but enough to make you get an idea... and of course force feedback to shake you awake...

If i get this going properly...you just might see it on E-Bay

Free? FREE? Did someone say FREEEE?

Sounds like a great project Fritz, keep us posted with some pics on how that project is coming along. There are some on CC that have/are doing cockpits too and I love that stuff...:D

Fritz,

Have you tried Squadron Signal or Aero Detail books on those aircraft? Scale modelers use these a lot for detailing and they just might have what you need.
Aero Detail 2 covers the 190D. #6 covers the 190A/F. Don't read Japanese so I cant give you there addy.

Try plugging in Squadron Signal or Aero Detail to tour search engine and see what comes up.

That seat gonna have zero-zero capablity? lol

S! Fled,
I have put in my order for several JATO. and the mini guns...
still looking to get the pedals...
I got in contact with the company that is making the 190 again www.flugwerk.de .. and he told me he can sell me pedals for 227 Euro but not the plans...UI would like to get them but Axl has different Ideas about Pappis money...So perhaps I can save up for them...

but still hoping that someone here can help...perhaps you have pictures of a cockpit that i can use to guestimate the dimensions from/?

Not sure if this will help but heres what I found so far.

www.jjfpub.mb.ca/kager...ations.htm

Monographs Series #6 FW 190 Volume IV (Kagero). Soft cover, large format, 109 pages, Polish/English text, 115 photographs, 11 pages of very good color aircraft profiles (including plan views), 20 pages of line drawings/plans and 1 sheet of 1/48 and 1/72 scale decals. The title covers the D and TA 152 variants and the color artwork is very good as are the plans. The line drawings quickly and concisely outline the detail differences between the various marks. Overall quite a nice reference especially for modelers. Recommended. Price $25USD-$32CDN/INT.
