Awesome! Good jams and I am totally down with brunettes. She's outright fantasy material!

So, speakin' of a gal who can flat-out frikkin' sing, check this out. Found it while perusing for some Ennio Morricone spaghetti western tracks. If you like the final duel scene in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (and who doesn't) well you're gonna dig this. A beautiful and powerful song, done in a way that puts a lump in the ol' throat...

Saw this last night on cable and not sure if anyone else has seen it but a great little documentary about Los Angeles session musicians and the music they helped create during the 50's and 60's.

Wow. The Monkees I knew about, Sonny & Cher is hardly surprising, The Beach Boys kinda figure considering what they did with Chuck Berry, and I always wondered about Roger McGuinn with The Byrds when I read somewhere that he only started playing guitar one year before their first hit...but seeing and hearing two Ventures songs in the preview totally surprised me. I gotta see this .... thanks!

Ya' know... I think it very appropriate that there's a particular brand of very cheap wine that comes from a Farm of the same name of that singer. Now, I've been asked not to ever mention that name here, ever, and I'm not - leastwise, yet - because of how sick someone got from it. And now, having seen that, umm, video(?) I fully understand. Let's not risk having to bring a mop and a bucket in here... Twisted Evil

I felt REALLY bad for the band members onstage having to try to make that work. Sad

I didn't want to have to do this - I promise myself I'd only use it in emergencies - but this seems as good a time as ever for a full frontal lobe flush & rinse. This may feel slightly uncomfortable at first but just relax and let it do it's job...

It was certainly eye-catching (in an agreeable way) but not by any measure...inappropriate. In fact, I watched it twice.

BUT, if we're going to make this a bad taste, incomprehensible programming choice, there's nothing like this "modern spiritual" courtesy of Laurence Welk:

"Make of this what you will"

The offense rests.... Razz

(and who is this POSER going by the name of Dick Dale?!)

(and who is this POSER going by the name of Dick Dale?!)

A good question indeed, given that the other Dick Dale's given name was Richard Monsour prior to changing it to the stage name we know now. Might be that ol' Richard caught this episode one night while having engaged in 'one toke over the line' hisself, and got the idea in his head to be the poseur rather than the posee' (can I get a spelling ruling on that?).

Making this video a sligbtly more culturally significant find than perhaps originally thought! If I may be allowed to vastly stretch the normallly-accepted limits of the term "slightly" Laughing

Thankfully, depending on the month, I was fortunately training in garrison somewhere in CONUS or safely under fire in Vietnam at the time and did not have to confront the risk of some form of inevitable self-harm when this aired. As to the rest of your question, I don't know, but there was clearly a sufficient abundance of ignorance present to make the entire conundrum unsolvable. Wink

In retrospect....Those teeth were a reminder that the Bee Gees were a British band (I'd originally thought they were from the US)...but,

I'd Rather Go Blind

...than have to watch that again! Mr. Green

Actually, the Bee Gees impersonation video reminded me of the Geico Cavemen. Smile
