Thanks Don.

Can you also help confirm whether the following are still in place, moved or in storage?

M4A3E8 Sherman at the Abrams Center

M24 Chaffee at Brick Mess

M60A1 RISE at Skidgell Hall

M60A3 at Sadowski Field House

M60A3 at Crecy Hall

Oh yeah, and is there now an LVTP5 in Richardson MP? I came across these pictures, but had never seen or heard of an LVTP5 at Knox...
svsm.org/gallery/lvtp5

Thanks again!

Don,
Many thanks again.

I'm also re-checking my M60 listings for Knox, it seems I have a few too many M60A1s. So I'm trying to match up SNs with RNs if thats possible...

I have the following SNs without RNs:
867 (in storage?)
4284 (in storage?)
5106 (Patton Museum)
8587 (Brandenburg Gate)
9349 (Copple Center)

I have the following RNs without SNs:
9B4668
9B8957
9A12771 (LST Bldg)
JJ010G
JJ00ZW

Any info your or Joe D may have would be very welcome.

Similar question for the following M60A3 SNs, do either line up to the vehicle formerly at Crecy Hall?:

2394A
3854A

Don,
Thanks for the info on the Patton Museum tank - already got the Disney, Quinn & Keyes Park tanks covered. Just trying to match up errant SNs with RNs so I can hopefully eliminate some presumed double-listings...

Maybe Joe will have some info...

Thanks again!

Thanks Trevor. Its a constant work inprogress, but trying to keep up to date.

Neil. Update for today. M110A1 & M60 at KY MAITS have been moved. I'm not sure where they are.

I believe they are getting fresh paint, but will have to confirm this. Unknown if they'll be put back on the empty 'slabs'.

Regards
Don

M728 SN 53, RN 09B8526 RMP

M48A5E1 SN 4494, RN JK001F, RMP
This tank is easily mistaken for an M60 since it uses the M60A2 hull and has an M48A5 turret. the cupola is usually not seen when covered. I believe this could be your other M60, since SN 4284 should be an M60A1.

I'm confused

Why would it be considered an M48A5 if it started with an M60A2 hull? I thought the M48A5 program upgraded M48 tanks to have a 105mm gun and make them an M60 equivalent.

It sounds like this is just a 'frankentank' similar to the M48A1 with a M60A2 turret thrown on it. Or did someone really plan to put upgraded M48 turrets on M60A2 hulls and use them?

I don't know about anyone else but if it doesn't have a rounded front hull it ain't an M48 to me Mr. Green

My images aren't much better Jim,

A good description is put an M48A5 turret with low profile cupola (Urdan style) on an M60A2 hull. It's a one of a kind tank.
