Mark,
Why do you say 75mm? That one looks much larger and has a spotting rifle attached. Is it not a "106"? (OK, "105")

I've never seen an RR on an M114 anywhere but on that site, but it's clearly genuine.

The photographer said 75mm. They all look alike to me. Personally I would have thought it was 106.

Mark,
When I view the site, it says "106mm" for me in caption...(last pic on page)

"M114 Reconnaissance Vehicle with a mounted 106mm recoilless rifle and a .50 caliber machine gun."

This is from the page that I'd posted to Joe about the searchlight on the M60A1. Have you found it posted elsewhere?

That is the M40, 106mm RR. The 75mm is far shorter and did not have the M8 cal.50 Spotter Rifle as this RR seems to have.

Note how high up the .50 cal is mounted. What's up with that?

Thank you for that.

With no actual operational experience with the RR system, my 'experience' is more of a mere hobby. But having dealt with only 6 106's, my ID ability is perhaps a little more advanced.

But with that said, I could be wrong. Rolling Eyes
