Stumbled on this by accident, but if you recall his work, you'll want to explore the site. I still have some of those old issues ("Cyclops at the Targa Florio").
Note this section opens with a reference to the "original" Skeleton Tank (not unlike the one at APG, which is mentioned). I especially like the "Christie-Cunningham LeMans Sporttank, 1962"
