I'm not aware that there would be a fsX version, if that was the case Milton for sure would have given us notice about it

The latest Dash 7 is now in beta testing. There are 5 variants to cover all the available Dash 7's known to me including a passenger, cargo, Combi (passenger/cargo), empty cabin, and the Canadian Ice Recon version. There are 7 paint schemes so far (more coming) to include two UN, two Gronlandsfly, Air Greenland, DeHavilland factory scheme, British Antartica Survey, and Canadian Ice Recon. All textures developed by Mike Kelly of Midnight Aviation fame.

The textures were developed for FSX (2048 DXT5) but the model is developed for FS9 and FSX as a portover and tested on both sides, and in P3D. The panel is essentially unchanged from the 2006 release but everything else is different.

The flight models were developed in FSX and tested there and in FS9 by two former Dash 7 pilots, Bernt Stolle and Tom Falley.

The sounds are all new custom work taken from authentic Dash 7 sounds edited and mixed by Nigel Richards.

I hope to have the package released by Christmas depending on beta test feedback. Thank you for your interest.

The Dash 7 has been released in two package variants; one is FSX specific port over with 2048 DXT5 textures and FSX flight models, and one is an FS9 specific package.

They have been uploaded to SOH, Simviation and Flightsim.

The packages include 3 model variants, 7 liveries, and two flight models, each done by former Dash 7 pilots, Bernt Stolle and Tom Falley.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there will be two more model variants (full cargo and Canadian Ice Recon) coming in January with 5 additional liveries.

I took this beauty out on our Bush Flight Plan for this past sundays flight, and was able to set this fantastic plane down on every one of the fields encountered in the plan. That includes the super short fields used as way points like King Fisher and the other one with just a name. Using just spoilers and reverse thrust, I was able to stop in about 2/3rds of the runway. Take off took a little more using 25% flaps, but with full flaps, I would have been able to take off a lot shorter than I did.

This plane is sweet. Thanks Milton.

Thanks Milton, we used your Dash7 extensively with our FS9 Sunday and FS9 Bush flights. Now it can find its way into the FSX Bush Flights!

Steve, Flightsim.com, and Sim-Outhouse both have the FSX versions available. In FS.com use the search mode with FSX and it should come up and there are a number of texture files available. Try Here!. You might need an account to get it but this link should get you were you can find it. This one is specifically the FSX Native one. There is also a version that is ported over from FS-9. Both work.
