This is one of the 21 April arrivals. Transferred from the 100th Division HQ at Bowman Field, Louisville, KY

The SN is 0969 which is stamped on the front eyelets

Don,

There is also an M47 sitting in front of Boudinot now. I just noticed it today as I drove past there. Maybe this is also a Louisville tank?

Geoff

I have gotten confirmation that the 2nd M47 you mentioned, was also transferred from the 100th Division at Bowman Field.

On my next visit to post, I'll see about getting some updated shots and information.

Good catch

Michel,

My reasoning that she's 6960 is because the 3 digit M47's I've seen did not have a Zero preceding it. Also, All M47's I've documented the numbers were read from the left side of the hull looking towards the Bow MG.
