Very bad news I'm afraid - a race aircraft, the P-51 "Galloping Ghost", crashed into the spectator stands, with mass injuries resulting: one source says 54 injured, 25 critical, 3 fatalities I believe, including the pilot. "Mass casualty situation". News reports are, quite graphic. So much so, I'm afraid to post direct links to any.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. Such a tragedy.

Read that news on CNN RSS feed this morning. Sad for all the families that the fatalities were involved. Yesterday afternoon four P-51 in formation flew west of my window about half a mile. Do not know the destination they were going but were flying north. One of the P-51 was the 'Red Tail' from the Consolidated Air Force museum at Fleming Field (KSGS) South St Paul, MN. Did not have time to fetch my camera Sad
